Looking for the perfect holiday destination this summer? It shouldn’t be a difficult task because Mpumalanga is the answer.

My recent ‘Shot Left Summer Tour’ was a true reflection that Mpumalanga is where you need to be this summer because it provides a variety of activities to choose from and beautiful accommodation sites, too. We checked in at the Nut Grove Manor in White River, an intimate 5-star boutique hotel right in the heart of Mpumalanga. It’s a true hidden gem with a beautiful garden setting and stunning views.
Why sleep when you’re in Mpumalanga? The Casterbridge Lifestyle Center has museums, an art gallery, a hotel, restaurants, arts and craft shops, clothing stores owned by the locals – it’s the perfect way to start your holiday by getting more knowledge about the town and its people and also tasting some of the food at the restaurants, just to get a feel of what the province is like.
The summer tour took a twist with a visit to the Shabalala Cultural Center in Hazyview.
On the Second Day of the summer tour, we took the Panorama Route to the Blyde River Canyon which is the largest in the world situated in Mpumalanga. From The Three Rondavels, we drove to the Bourke’s Luck Potholes.
After viewing the Potholes we embarked on an adventure at the Graskop Gorge Lift Company. The Graskop Lift Company is situated in Graskop near the Panorama Route – Graskop Lift Company has a variety of activities to choose from such as Zip-lining, the forest trail, the Graskop lift and the big swing.
We spent the evening at Mdluli Safari Lodge situated at the Numbi Gate at Kruger National Park – a 7-star lodge at one of South Africa’s largest game reserves. The lodge has luxury tents, swimming pools, spa facilities and game drives.
The restaurant has a delicious buffet breakfast and dinner, an all-day ala-cart snacks and a lunch menu available. The lodge has an unforgettable game drive with experienced tour guides who informed us about the park and the Big Five.
Make Mpumalanga your next holiday destination.
Here’s what went down:
