A 28- year old man was fatally stabbed by his ex-girlfriend in the early hours of yesterday morning following an altercation between them.
Penuel Twala was allegedly stabbed to death by his ex-girlfriend and who is also a mother to his child. According to the police, Twala went to the suspect’s house in the early hours of the morning where a fight broke.
It is alleged that the suspect was with her boyfriend and the child when Twala made a scene and demanded that the door be opened.
“The door was subsequently opened and the two ex-lovers had a fight resulting to his death,” said Elukwatini police spokesperson, Sergeant Wiseman Nkosi.

Police have confirmed that the 29-year-old woman had previously lodged a protection order against the deceased which was not served due to his unavailability. It was also revealed that she opened a case of common assault against the deceased last month which she later withdrew.
She appeared before the Elukwatini Magistrate’s Court on murder charges today. The case has been remanded to 15 October 2024, for a formal bail application. She remains in police custody.
