Police are looking for a group of armed suspects who attempted to rob two foreign business owners at Elukwatini Shiba Village in the early hours of this morning.
Community members were awoken by the sound of stray of bullets fired during a shoot out between the police and the alleged robbers.
Spokesperson for the Elukwatini Police station Sergeant Wiseman Nkosi revealed that the group of suspects targeted two houses belonging to foreign business owners at the residential village. One of the houses was also a victim of an attempted robbery around this time last year.

“The armed men forced entry into the houses but could not take anything of value as police responded swiftly to the tip-off. They started firing at the police and a shout out errupted,” said Nkosi.
All suspects fled the scene and no arrests have been made yet. A case of attempted robbery is under investigation.
“We are pleading with community members to come forth with information that may assist in the investigation of the case,” added Nkosi.
