MARITE – A six-year-old young boy who went missing for several hours was found dead, leaving the community in shock yesterday.
This comes after the boy’s mother had taken to social media to announce her child’s disappearance and later updated her post to reveal the devastating news of his death.
Initial reports suggested that the mother believed the child had been killed. However, Mpumalanga police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Jabu Ndubane has since confirmed that the boy’s body was found in a waterhole.
“The police received a complaint at about 21:00 from complainant reporting that her son was missing. While assisting her, the police received a call that the missing child was found in the backyard and drowned in the hole filled with water,” Ndubane explained.
