PILGRIM’S REST- Operation Vala Umgodi has yielded positive results once again following the arrest of 33 illegal immigrants on Sunday, 2 March.
The suspects between the ages of 18 to 45, appeared in the Graskop Magistrate’s Court on Monday for being in possession of mining equipment.

Among the suspects are five females and 28 males who were arrested during an operation around the area. Police confiscated items believed to have been used for illegal mining activities.


The case was postponed Friday, 7 March and 13 March for further investigation, verification of ages and to also avoid overcrowding in court.
