Push’ Ispan Academy Program aims to enhance businesses

MBOMBELA- In efforts to assist Small Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMME’s) to thrive and become more sustainable enterprises, Standard Bank launched the Push’ Ispan Academy Program in the province at Emnotweni Arena on April 16.

This initiative allows SMME’s to have access to finance, resources and markets and also address challenges that small enterprises come across and offer possible solutions.

The bank further supports these SMME’s through technical training, mentorship and coaching to be more developed.

Hlobisile Mkhonza, Director of Gosheni Hospitality Group, expressed appreciation to the bank for offering valuable insights about funding opportunities for small enterprises. 

“The challenges that I have been facing is access to markets, funding and proper systems that will help us manage my business efficiently. What will happen after this initiative is that there are certai nuggets and things that I will get from Standard Bank to run my business effectively and efficiently by the systems that they can provide. And of course most importantly funding for my business, to help me grow and create employment and ultimately contribute to the economy of Mpumalanga” Mkhonza said.

Standard Bank’s provincial Head of Enterprise Banking, Fuad Choonara, said their aim is aid enterprises to fully advance and grow.

“Through our Enterprise Supplier Development wing, we support SMME’s we have options like grant funding, purchase order funding that all medium enterprises apply to us through, these are criterias that are not the normal one, they are a lot more relaxed and we have made a significant contribution through this channel”, Choonara concluded.
