Ehlanzeni TVET College Signs MOU with Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature

Ehlanzeni TVET College proudly signed of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature (MPL) on 7 May 2025. This significant agreement symbolizes the beginning of a strategic partnership dedicated to enhancing education, skills development, and community upliftment in the region.

The MOU sets forth a collaborative framework designed to implement various initiatives, including internships, learnerships, lecturer workplace exposure, and the development of Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) qualifications. Through this partnership, both institutions express their commitment to advancing the National Skills Development Agenda and fostering a productive working relationship aimed at benefiting our communities for the next five years and beyond.

Mpumalanga Legislature Secretary Hubert Shabangu emphasized the importance of action, stating, “This memorandum of understanding should not gather dust, but should be implemented for the benefit of the two institutions. This collaboration must roll out programs that will assist both the Mpumalanga Legislature and the TVET.”

Mr. Elias Mbuyane, Principal of Ehlanzeni TVET College, reinforced the college’s commitment to making this partnership impactful. He stated, “As the college, we are not just looking for another partnership. We must make it work for our students and provide our lecturers with exposure to real working environments.”
