A 36-year-old man was arrested on Thursday in Kwa-Thema outside Springs, Gauteng.

Police confirmed that he is the fourth suspect in the Hillary Gardee murder case. He joins three suspects, Sipho Mkhatshwa, Philemon Lukhele and Albert Mduduzi Gama who are in custody.
According to the police, the suspect was found in possession of a firearm. They linked the suspect to other murder cases in the province.

Meanwhile, the Economic Freedom Fighters have welcomed the arrest revealing that the suspect has confessed to having been part of the crime. “The arrest will help bring peace to the Gardee family. It is a testament that Hillary’s spirit is not resting, and she is fighting to ensure that those who took her life face the necessary consequences,” reads a statement from the political party.
