The police, in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies and local farmers, received valuable information and were led on Friday, January 9 Friday 09 January 2026 (around 16h30), to an uncovering of a field of dagga plants estimated at a street value of about R2.9 Million, next to river at Buffelspruit farms outside Malelane.
According to a report, this discovery is a major one in the battle against drug trafficking. The field consisted of mature Marijuana plants grown next to Mhlambanyatsi River, adjacent to the renowned Buffelspruit farms. The discovery has prompted an immediate investigation, and an enquiry has been opened with a hope to locate those who are responsible.
