DCSR launches Culutural Xperience in style

The Department of Culture, Sports and Recreation launched the eighth Mpumalanga Cultural Xperience and revealed the festivities.

Spy to Sky was the venue for the with various local artists and designers who showed up on the day, October 20. The Head of Department, Godfrey Ntombela said this year’s Xperience will be unforgettable. “We will showcase the best of what our province has to offer to national and international visitors,” said Ntombela. This year’s pillars include Traditional Xperience which will be held at Mathibela Traditional Authority in Bushbuckridge on the November 25. The Carnival Xperience will be at the Promenade Centre in Mbombela on December 1.

Kasi Xperience at Siya Bar in Kabokweni, Mbombela also on December 1. Choral Xperience at December 2 at Elukwatini Hall. Soul Session Xperience at Mbombela Botanical Garden December 3. Film Xperience at Sasol Club Secunda on the December 9. International Xperience will be on the same day at Communio Auditorium. Some of the signature events to look forward to are, Comedy Xperience in collaboration at Emnotweni Arena on November 30. 013 Summer Blaze on December 2 at Mbombela Stadium.

Gospel Awards Xperience on December 10, Mbombela Stadium. Artists will be equipped with industry knowledge at the Music Creative Workshop from December 5 to 7. “You should look forward to two cultural groups from eSwatini and Mozambique that will be part of Traditional Xperience. As part of reviving our township economy, the Kasi Xperience will be at Siya Bar and that is one to look out for as well. We are expecting about 22 artists to perform and it will be an unforgettable experience.

Keep in mind also that the Gospel Awards will be celebrating their 10th anniversary and it will be a special occasion. Make sure you secure your spot because you don’t want to miss this one. So, I invite you all to join us in embracing our culture and diversity, and to give support to our artists as well.”
