Duo bust for being in possession of suspected stolen property

Two suspects, aged 21 and 27 are expected to appear in the Barberton Magistrate’s Court tomorrow today after being found in possession of suspected stolen property.

They were arrested in the early hours on Wednesday, August 6 by members of the Nelspruit Flying Squad, while doing patrols and vehicle check points on the R38 Road.

This was after a vehicle sped off when police stopped it. The police managed to stop the vehicle and found three occupants, the driver and two males that were in the back seat wearing balaclavas with long black jackets. The suspects ran away, but two were caught. Five rolls of electric cables, a bolt cutter and hack saw were found in the vehicle.

Both suspects were arrested and charged for possession of suspected stolen property and the vehicle was seized for further investigation.
