Emalahleni pair appear in court for murder

Thembinkosi Musia and Prince Ratau appeared at Emalahleni Magistrate Court yesterday for their alleged involvement in the murder of two men.

The assailants allegedly assaulted and killed the deceased, Mbongeni Radebe and Nosinthi Mayela, in Vosman last week. According to the police, the suspects allegedly arrived in the area on March 31.

The mother of one victim, who was asleep, was woken up by a strange noise outside the house at Empumelelweni, near Emalahleni.

“The windows of the house were allegedly smashed by the suspects as they tried to force their way into the house. They claimed that they were looking for Radebe. They later took him with them, and never returned home as his lifeless body was found at Extension 12,” said the police.

Meanwhile, further information surfaced when the same suspects allegedly assaulted another Mayela, who later received admission to the hospital because of his sustained injuries. Yesterday, Mayela succumbed to the injuries.

“After we found their bodies, we conducted an investigation, traced and arrested the pair, which led to their court appearance.”
