Ligwalagwala FM unveils new presenter

Ligwalagwala FM will keep its current on-air line up with only a slight change.

According to the station, it bid farewell to its legend, Stanford Mhlanga, famously known as “Malume” to his listeners. Mhlanga has been presenting the station’s cultural show called Lwesuka Lutfuli since 2012.

“We recruited fresh new talent to take over the airwaves. The Pride of the Nation takes pleasure in unveiling the new presenter Sifiso Erickson Lubisi who will join the station as of April 1,” read the station’s statement.

Sifiso Lubisi, also known as “Msimbitsi Scolomane” replaces Malume Stan from 10:00am to 12:00pm on Saturdays.

“I would like to thank the management of Ligwalagwala FM for this opportunity. All I’m promising the listeners of the station is good radio and preserving of the Siswati language and culture,” he said. The month of April will also see the shift of the breakfast show to start from 06:00am to 09:00am on weekdays.

The station also celebrates 40 years of broadcasting. They lined activations up across the province. They encourage listeners to stay tuned for more giveaways throughout the year.
