NKOMAZI – The Mpumalanga Economic Growth Agency (MEGA) recently hosted its annual Youth Month Breakfast Engagement at KaMhlushwa Community Hall bringing together young entrepreneurs to network, learn, and showcase their businesses.
This event, held yesterday, May 12, 2025, was part of MEGA’s efforts to commemorate Youth Month and empower young entrepreneurs in the province, with access to resources, networking opportunities, and skill development insights.
Senior Manager Funding of MEGA, Carol Nkambule, emphasised the importance of taking bold steps towards achieving one’s goals. “As we celebrate Youth Month with you as aspiring individuals, we encourage you to step out of your comfort zones and seize opportunities that will propel your growth. Your future is in your hands, and we’re here to nurture the potential we see in you, helping it grow and flourish.”

Department of Economic Development and Tourism Director Enterprise Development, Solly Mhaule, highlighted the government’s commitment to supporting youth in getting jobs and establishing their businesses.
“Our mission is to drive economic growth that creates employment opportunities and sustain economic development in partnership with stakeholders in the province. We work with entities like MEGA, which is responsible for funding SMMEs, to create jobs and grow the economy of Mpumalanga.”
By providing access to resources and networking opportunities, MEGA and the Department of Economic Development and Tourism demonstrated their commitment to supporting the youth and driving economic development in Mpumalanga
