The police arrested the most wanted suspect in the province last Friday in Pretoria.
According to police, this was through a collaboration effort between the SAPS members from Gauteng’s Crime Intelligence, Pretoria West, Mpumalanga’s Anti-Gang Unit and the Tracing Unit. The 21-year-old was already in the police cells in Pretoria for unlawful possession of firearms with ammunition last week.

“Police sought the suspect in connection with several crimes committed in Bushbuckridge, Calcutta and Kanyamazane. These cases include, among others, 14 counts of murder, assault with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm. Arson, burglaries, pointing at a firearm, kidnapping, malicious damage to property, house robbery and rape,” read the police statement.
