This was revealed during a media briefing held today led by Minister of International and Cooperation, Ronald Lamola and Mozambique’s Minister of Interior, Pascoal Ronda.

The joint Inter-Ministerial Meeting was aimed at exchanging views and to put measures in place to mitigate the disruption at two ports of entry, particularly Lebombo and Ressano Garcia.

Lamola said while waiting for the Mozambique Constitutional Council to resolve the election dispute, joint efforts would enable both countries to trade, considering the significant negative impact the disruptions have had on the economy. Companies have also suffered losses as a result of the disruption in trade.
