VAALBANK- A 69 year-old man was released on warning after after he was found with an unlicensed firearm and ammunition on Friday, November 7.
According to police, the suspect, Edward Moloto was apprehended by field rangers at Mkhombo Nature Reserve at approximately 12:00. The police were called to the scene, and upon arrival, the suspect was in possession of a hunting rifle with no serial number and two live rounds of ammunition. The suspect was unable to produce a license to possess the firearm.
The firearm has been seized and will form part of the investigation.
The suspect appeared today, 10 November 2025 in the Mbibane Magistrate’s Court he was released with a warning, and the next court date is scheduled to 11 December 2025 in the same court.
