Police make breakthrough in missing journalist’s case

Four people have been arrested in connection with the case of a missing journalist, Aserie Ndlovu and his partner, Zodwa Mdhluli.

This is following a cross province operation involving Gauteng and Mpumalanga police on Sunday, May 4. According to investigations, the first suspect was the last person seen in the company of the missing couple. The other three suspects were found with vehicle parts believed to belong to the missing journalist.

Police say one of the suspects is a mechanic operating around the KwaMhlanga area.

“Two VW Citi Golfs that were found in possession of the suspects have been seized. The case has since been changed to a kidnapping and car hijacking case. Additional charges including house robbery and being in possession of stolen property are likely to be added,” said National Police Spokesperson, Brigadier Athlenda Mathe.
