READ |Six people die on R38 accident

This happened when a light Delivery Vehicle (LDV) overturned. 20 more people sustained serious injuries. They are currently receiving medical attention at KwaMhlanga and Philadelphia hospitals. The deceased are all males and were passengers. The seriously injured includes the driver.

“We believe that the driver of the vehicle may have lost control. The vehicle veered off the road before crashing to the side. The investigation into the crash is already underway. Overloading is one thing that the probe will look into,” said Community Safety, Security and Liaison spokesperson Moeti Mmusi. Mpumalanga MEC for Community Safety, Security and Liaison, Vusi Shongwe, again urges motorists to be on high alert on the road.
