MBOMBELA – One of the three accused in the Hillary Gardee murder case, Sipho Mkhatshwa remains in custody.
This is after he was denied bail on Wednesday when he appeared in the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court.

Reasons for his bail denied include possibly putting the lives of witnesses at risk. He also did not disclose his ties in the Eswatini, among other factors posing him as a flight risk.

Hillary Gardee went missing on April 29 and her body was found a few days later at a timber plantation outside Mbombela. The other two accused, Philemon Lukhele and Mduduzi Albert Gama, will appear in court for their bail hearing on August 8.
