Week one of the National Senior Certificate Examination a success

The Department of Education has reported a successful first week of the 2024 National Senior Certificate Examination.

With no disturbances reported, the department extends heartfelt appreciation to everyone who contributed to this achievement.

Candidates are encouraged to maintain their focus and adhere to the examination rules and regulations. Parents are equally urged to continue to support the Class of 2024 and to create a conducive environment for studying and preparation right up until the final day of examinations.

The examination period will continue until the 28th November 2024.

The MEC for Education, Cathy Dlamini, expresses her sincere gratitude for the collective effort that has made this possible.

“We are truly grateful for the way in which this examination is progressing so far. Together, let us keep up the momentum and strive for excellence.”

The Department is targeting a 83% pass rate this time around.
