The Hawks have arrested three suspects for fraud, theft and money laundering to the amount of R60 million.

Two staffers were arrested at the Mbombela Municipality and Mbombela Traffic Department, respectively. The Hawks added they will make more arrests.

They arrested the third suspect at the White River Traffic Department. “They will be charged, detained and appear before the Nelspruit Magistrate court on Thursday, 15 September 2022,” said spokesperson Captain Dineo Sekgotodi.
