Woman’s body found in Carolina rugby field

A woman’s body was discovered by a community member at a rugby field in Carolina on Saturday. 

The police released a statement that they have launched a manhunt.

“The woman was reported missing by her family on March 26 after she left home on March 23 to visit a friend in Hendrina. She did not return and the family became concerned after they called her several times but could not reach her. They then informed police about the matter,” the statement read.

A murder case was then opened accordingly hence the manhunt for a suspect.

Police are appealing to anyone with information regarding the case or any details on the whereabouts of Sinethemba Princess Nkosi’s friend from Hendrina to call Detective Warrant Officer Thulani Sibeko at 0823039940.

“We believe the friend will assist in the investigation. Alternatively, members of the public can call the Crime Stop number at 08600 10111 or send information via MYSAPSAPP. All received information will be treated as confidential and callers may opt to remain anonymous.”
