Mpumalanga Community Safety, Security and Liaison MEC, Gabisile Shabalala has tested positive for COVID-19.
According to the department’s spokesperson, Mmoeti Mmusi the MEC received her results this morning.

“She is in a good condition and is currently in self-isolation at home where she is following all the required precautions as outlined by the medical practitioners. She will work from home to ensure that the programme of action in enhancing the safety and security of the people of Mpumalanga continues to be implemented both at home and on the road,” said Mmusi.
Economic Development and Tourism MEC, Pat Ngomane received his results after testing positive last Saturday. Meanwhile, the Premier, Refilwe Mtsweni-Tsipane also tested positive yesterday.
