Special task team assembled to fight crime

DAANTJIE- More than 100 South African Police Service members have been deployed to a Special Task Team.

This was revealed on Thursday afternoon by Acting Provincial Commissioner, Major General Zeph Mkhwanazi where he instructed deploys to patrol more at gravesites.

This is following the recent surge in murders of  women and children and found buried in shallow graves around Pienaar.

” The burying of people on top of another should come to an end. If this happens in your presence, we will have to replace you. Those patrolling in those areas, I urge that you visit the gravesites especially in the evenings,” Major General Mkhwanazi told the police.

He further encouraged police to work with the community well, not by harassing them. “I expect you all to take charge and be firm. Move fast and be on time,” he said.

After a parade, the team commenced their duties with a roadblock at Lihawu.
