Four people, all females, were killed on the N4 toll road between Malelane and Hectorspruit on Sunday in a multiple vehicle collision.
The multiple vehicles collision include two hatchbacks, a light delivery vehicle (LDV), and an articulated truck. Four victims were all occupants in one of the hatchbacks that collided head on with the bakkie.
One person who was in the hatchback that collided with a bakkie, sustained serious injuries.

Five people including the driver and four passengers in another hatchback sustained slight injuries. All the injured people were transported to the nearby Shongwe Hospital for medical care.
The crash is now subject of the investigation by Safety Engineering team in the Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison, South African Police Service (SAPS) and Road Traffic Management Cooperation (RTMC).
