A five-part documentary on Senzo Meyiwa, Murder of a Soccer Star, has triggered emotions and left many with unanswered questions.
The suspects shot the Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper dead in 2014. He was visiting his girlfriend, singer Kelly Khumalo, at her home in Vosloorus. However, eight years later, his death remains a mystery.

The docu-series was launched on April 7 and is aired on Netflix. This delves into the soccer star’s murder. It shares insight into what transpired that fateful night when Meyiwa was gunned down in what is alleged to be a botched robbery. A trial involving five accused men of his murder would have begun in court on Monday morning. However, it was postponed to today.
