Child dies in N4 crash

MBOMBELA – Four people, including a child, were killed on Sunday night before midnight when a light motor vehicle and an articulated truck collided head-on the N4.

All the victims were occupants in the light motor vehicle, and this included the driver and all three occupants.

According to spokesperson for the Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison, Moeti Mmusi, the four died at the scene on impact.

“ Jaws of life had to be used to remove the victims from the wreckage. The deceased includes a child and three adults. The cause of the crash is still under investigation,” he said. Motorists are once more called upon to obey the rules and also rest when necessary.
