The Mpumalanga Department of Sports, Culture and Recreation has released a list of the Covid-19 relief fund beneficiaries.
This is after a budget of R5.5 million meant for hosting national celebrated days was allocated to assist artists and athletes mitigate the economic impact of the pandemic.
As a result of the National State of Disaster, all people who make a living from the creative, sport and recreation industries were invited to apply for the relief fund.
After a large volume of applications, 96 applications of individual artists and 13 groups were processed and paid on August 1 2020.
