Five Public Works officials injured in car crash

A car crash involving a minibus and midibus taxi transporting officials from the Department of Public Works, Roads and Transport has left six people injured.
The cash occurred on Monday, August 7 on the D2943 Road between Langeloop and Schoemansdal. According to the department, the minibus was carrying 17 officials from the Driekoppies Cost Centre.
“Five officials and the taxi driver were admitted in hospital for injuries while seven are being examined and the others were discharged. The officials employed under the road maintenance unit were on the way to their place of duty when the crash occurred,” reads a statement issued by the department.

The MEC, Mandla Ndlovu wished the officials a speedy recovery. He is expected to visit the admitted officials in hospital today.
