Four people fatally shot at tavern

SIYABUSWA- Four people died after a shooting incident at a local tavern leaving three others injured on Sunday evening.

According to a police report, on that evening, a group of armed suspects stormed into the tavern at Kgobokwane next to the R573 Road. The suspects were reportedly carrying firearms and began shooting randomly.

It is further reported that three victims died on the spot while the other succumbed to his injuries after he was taken to hospital.

No arrests have been made but police are investigating four counts of murder with multiple counts of attempted murder.

Police urge anyone with information that may assist in the investigation, leading to the arrest of the perpetrators to call the Crime Stop number at 08600 10111 or send information via MYSAPSAPP. All received information will be treated as confidential and callers may opt to remain anonymous.
