KWAMHLANGA- A grade 8 learner from Senzangakhona Secondary School was stabbed by another learner in the same grade on Thursday, August 14.
According to preliminary reports, the incident took place when they were returning home from school. Teachers were alerted about the incident by other learners and immediately rushed to the scene.
Upon arrival, they contacted emergency medical services, who declared the learner deceased. The matter was reported to the police and the parents of the deceased learner were informed.

The suspect was arrested. The circumstances leading to this tragic event remain unclear and are currently under investigation by law enforcement authorities.
The Department Of Education extended its condolences to the bereaved family, friends, classmates, and the entire school community.
“To support those affected, the department will deploy officials from the Wellness Section and Inclusive Education to provide psychosocial services to both the family and the school. Further information will be shared as more details become available,” said the department.
