Learners are returning to school on a full-time following the minister’s announcement.
The Cabinet took a decision to end rotational schooling with immediate effect. School closures in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the rotational schooling, presented a significant negative impact on learners’ education, protection, well-being and nutrition.

The Basic Education sector has welcomed the Cabinet’s decision. They issued a directive to to resume full-time attendance today. All primary, secondary and special schools from public and independent schools. All teachers, non-teaching school staff, learners and officials should return to school and offices with effect from February 7.
