As schools have recently opened their doors to welcome back learners, the ZZZ Foundation stepped in to ensure underprivileged children had the necessary means to succeed.
As such, the local Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) held a donation drive at Maphakama Primary School on Monday, January 20, to distribute school uniforms and food parcels to needy children.
The initiative, made possible by local donors and volunteers, aimed to alleviate pressure on families struggling to make ends meet for their children. Anderson Matsane, founder of ZZZ Foundation, emphasised the importance of supporting vulnerable children, particularly during the back-to-school period.
“Our objective is to support schools and give every child an equal chance to succeed, regardless of their background or financial situation. By providing school uniforms and food parcels, we hope to give these children a sense of dignity and confidence as they start the new school year,” Matsane explained.

The organisation appreciated the community’s support, local businesses, and everyone who made the donation drive possible, particularly, Shaya White Super Maize Meal for sponsoring them with food parcels.

As the local NPO continues to support vulnerable community members, it relies on donations and sponsorships to sustain its programs. Matsane encouraged community members to “plough back” and support their initiatives.
“A pair of shoes can boost a child’s confidence, breaking the chains of poverty and encouraging them to stay in school,” concluded the founder.
