ENTOKOZWENI – One of three robbery suspects was fatally shot by a South African Police Service member on Tuesday, October 7.
According to reports, three armed men went into a supermarket and held the victims at gunpoint and robbed them of several items, including an undisclosed amount of cash, as well as some cigarettes.
Police say the incident occurred around midday. A firearm with some ammunition was also found in possession of the alleged suspect. The serial number of the firearm was filed off.

Provincial police spokesperson, Brigadier Donald Mdluli said a robbery case is being investigated.
“The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) has been notified and will conduct further investigation regarding the incident,” said Mdluli.
