Missing Pienaar teen found dead 

PIENAAR – The local community is mourning the loss of 15-year-old Boitumelo Shamain Madonsela, a learner at Portia Shabangu Secondary School, who was found dead days after she was reported missing.

Madonsela was reportedly last seen on Saturday, October 4, heading to the Farmer’s Market at the Botanical Gardens in Mbombela. However, her family grew concerned when she didn’t return home that evening and appealed to the community for help in locating her through social media.

Tragically, their worst fears were confirmed when her body was discovered at the mortuary. According to Sergeant Thulisile Magagula, Boitumelo was allegedly struck by a vehicle while crossing the R40 road between Riverside Mall and the Mbombela CBD. She had gotten off a taxi at the bus shelter just after Riverside Mall and was attempting to cross the road away from a designated crossing point when she was struck.

“The 15-year-old was reportedly heading to the Botanical Gardens when she was hit by a vehicle while attempting to cross the road away from the robots. Fortunately, the driver stopped and cooperated with the authorities,” Sergeant Magagula said.

The news has left Madonsela’s family, friends, and the entire community in shock. “We’re struggling to come to terms with what happened and are awaiting answers from the police,” said Thobile Madonsela, a family member. 
Madonsela was fondly remembered as a bright and ambitious young girl with a promising future ahead of her.
Her sudden passing has left a deep void in the hearts of her loved ones. Tributes have poured in on social media, with many mourning the loss of the young girl and offering condolences to her family.
