Mpumalanga to host expo during Tourism Month

A local company is steering the tourism marketing of the province to higher stakes. 

It will showcase local reputable tourism products all an effort to jerk up domestic and international tourism. This is an effort initiated by Jakada Holdings (PTY) Ltd, in partnership with the Mpumalanga Tourism & Parks Agency (MTPA) who are proud to announce the hosting of the inaugural Mpumalanga Tourism Expo. The expo will take place at the Riverside Mall on 11 and 12 September, 2021.

Organiser, Xolani Mthethwa shares what can be expected. 

What are the highlights of the tourism expo? 

Twenty six Mpumalanga based tourism products and services will exhibit at the tourism expo. These products will showcase a variety of tourism products such as activities, accommodation, health and wellness. The MEC for Economic Development and Tourism is expected to do a meet and greet of the exhibitors at the expo. 

What should people look forward to at the expo? 

The expo happens during the SA Travel Week and the exhibitors are encouraged to offer discounted tourism rates for the products and services that will be on showcase. Fabulous travel prizes will be up for grabs for the visitors who will visit a minimum of three stalls per day at the expo.

Exhibitors list

The list will be available latest by Tuesday 07 September 2021. The confirmed products includes Tsogo Sun, MTPA Nature Reserves, Barberton Adventures, Hazyview Extreme Adventures, Unique Rose Guest House, Tinyiko Kruger Lodge, Ebutsini Cultural Village, Inkosi Tours, Mbombela Experience, Dee’s African Spa and many more. 

What can the ordinary people expect from product owners? 

They should expect quality tourism products at a very affordable rates. There’s no better time to buy tourism products than now. The time to plan for the December holidays is now. 

A message to potential travellers.

The Mpumalanga residents are encouraged to start traveling in their own province. Charity begins at home. You can’t start by planning a holiday to a far away place but not knowing what’s happening in your backyard. The tourism expo is a platform to show that traveling in the domestic space is affordable. As the Tourism Expo team, we’re ready to welcome the exhibitors as well as the visitors to the expo. September is tourism month.
