MBOMBELA – The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency has attained a clean audit report opinion from the Auditor-General for the second consecutive year.
The Board and Executive Management of MTPA announced this. The MTPA is an entity of the Department of Finance, Economic Development and Tourism. It is tasked with the responsibility to provide sustainable management and promotion of tourism and nature conservation in the province.
“Achieving this clean audit for the second time in a row is a positive milestone for the entity. As the board, we are delighted with this achievement. It confirms our commitment to position the MTPA and further provides confidence in the work that is done by the entity.
The audit confirms that the Board and Executive Management are maintaining public trust in spending public money. Since the clean audit from the previous financial year, the Executive Management has worked hard to ensure that internal controls are strengthened.
