The Hawks Nelspruit based Serious Organised Crime Investigation are investigating a murder case following the fatal shooting of a 29 year old police constable.
Khulani Chabangu, two other clients, and a barber were robbed of their personal belongings at gunpoint in Lillydale on Friday, May 30 at around 23:00.
It is alleged that two armed suspects stormed into the barbershop and instructed the barber and clients to lie down on their stomachs. Money was taken from the barber, cellphones were taken from other clients, and the police official was forced to undress and his car keys, clothes and cellphone were taken.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim sustained several gunshot wounds on his upper body.
His vehicle was recovered in the vicinity.
