Three suspects dead in shootout at Tonga

The police gunned three armed robbers down in Tonga Block A during a shootout last night.

According to the police, a group of men charged into a local supermarket at Block A heavily armed. They looted items such as cigarettes, television sets, airtime and an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspects fled in a white Ford Bantam.

“They reported the matter to the police, who swiftly responded and immediately searched for the suspects. Police spotted the suspects driving in a white Ford Bantam, which matched the description of the vehicle used to flee the scene. Upon noticing the police, the suspects fired at them and the police retaliated. They shot three suspects dead while one escaped.”
