Chairperson of the tourism board, Adv Mojanku Gumbi welcomed all tourism buyers and countries across the Continent and internationally, too. KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sihle Zikalala said, “It’s a proof that we are one as African countries when gathered at this important occasion. For KZN, it’s a welcome boost since the floods devastated our province. This is a province of legendary leaders Kings Shaka, Cetshwayo and others.

“Welcome you to KZN. We offer a lot in terms of tourism activities and still have many more major events. 10 percent revenue comes from tourism and we have cruises to Mozambique and others,” he stated.

Minister of Tourism, Lindiwe Sisulu was full of praises for the positive attitude despite the past two years of the coronavirus pandemic and, more importantly, she requested guests to stand up in honour of people that died during the past devastating floods.
“I declare the indaba open and hope we will make good business and I will visit stands,” she said.
