TS Galaxy to play Bundesliga club for pre-season

Dstv Premiership outfit TS Galaxy held a media briefing yesterday, May 29 at Mbombela Stadium.

The team officially launched the Mpumalanga Premier’s International Tournament. The inaugural tournament initial designed to be a four-team tournament played over seven days. Two more teams will join the tourney. TS Galaxy chairperson Tim Sukazi, Arguburg CEO Michael Stroll (Bundesliga-based team), representative from DSCR, MTPA and MER, were present for this new venture.

“The chairperson will, in due course, announce the other two remaining teams to join the tourney. The scheduled two semis will be on July 20, 2024. Then the losers and finals will be on July 27, 2024 at Mbombela Stadium as part of TS Galaxy pre-season preparation program,” said the team’s spokesperson, Ronny Moyo.

Meanwhile, the Bundesliga team Arguburg is meant to establish bilateral relations outside the scope of football. MTPA has indicated during the briefing that the Germans have been dominant tourists in the province. DSCR indicated that its involvement is to ensure that the province rallies behind TS Galaxy while MER will mobilise other stakeholders.

“It is one momentous occasion once again that TS Galaxy does not necessarily talk in the boardroom, rather demonstrates and translates such into practice. These formidable partnerships with Arguburg remain the beginning of a large scale of the club’s invasion to the European markets.”
