Yesterday, truck and taxi drivers blocked various roads in Mbombela and the surrounding areas. Motorists had to use alternative routes as KaBokweni, Tekatakho, N4 Ngodwana, N4 Matsulu intersection, Kaapmuiden, R38 intersection. R40 towards Barberton is open and Kapsehoop.

It was also not business as usual at Riverside and i’langa Malls and other shopping complexes. Various shops did not operate because of the shutdown. This morning, they blocked the John Ross Highway in Empangeni, KwaZulu-Natal.
