Winter tourism campaign kicks off

The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency is running its winter campaign from June to July to promote domestic tourism in Mpumalanga.

Visit tranquil Mpumalanga with affordable packages. The agency’s campaign at both trade and tourism consumers who travel to visit friends and relatives for leisure and other purposes.

Mpumalanga is known to be a warm destination during winter, with limited rainfalls and cooler temperatures. Locals can enjoy the province’s diverse attractions, such as hiking, camping and visiting historical sites.

“Our objective with this campaign is to grow the domestic trips and regional arrivals to the destination. We want to raise awareness about Mpumalanga’s lesser-known attractions and promote family packages for nature reserves,” said Mduduzi Vilakazi, Acting CEO of the MTPA.

“The campaign will include promotions and competitions that will afford people an opportunity to win prizes that will give them a chance to come and experience the scenic beauty, adventure, culture, heritage and wildlife activities available in the province”, added Vilakazi.
