A 25-year-old man allegedly raped a 62-year-old male pensioner during the evening of Monday, 20 June in Bushbuckridge, Ga-Motibidi.

According to police, on the day around 20:30, the victim alleges he was at his house and the door was not closed. He then noticed a suspect known to him entering his room and asked what he wanted. The suspect then allegedly grabbed the victim, pushed him to the bed and raped him.

“After the incident, he took cash belonging to the old man that was on top of the table and left. The suspect was traced and arrested. He is expected to appear at the Bushbuckridge Magistrate’s Court today, facing a rape charge.”
