The African National Congress has withdrawn murder-accused Philemon Lukhele’s membership.
According to the party’s Working Committee, he fraudulently obtained his membership. “Therefore, does not satisfy the stipulated requirements of the ANC Constitution in that he is not a South African,” read the statement.

The ANC PEC reiterated its deepest and heartfelt condolences to the Gardee family. It also condemns in the strongest terms all forms of Gender-Based Violence and Femicide.

Lukhele, with two other accused, Albert Mduduzi Gama and Sipho Lawrence Mkhatshwa, are in custody. They will make their second appearance at the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court on June 9.
