Next month marks six years since the bodies of Lily Mine workers trapped in a container.
Pretty Nkabule, Pretty Nkabule, Yvonne Mnisi and Solomon Nyirende were in a container that fell into a sinkhole in February 2016.

Today marks exactly 1 000 days since the relatives of three workers started camping outside the mine. Action SA president Herman Mashaba has visited the families. He was part of the night vigil that took place yesterday.

I was fortunate to be allowed into the mine area where the container with Pretty Nkambule, Yvonne Mnisi and Solomon Nyirenda collapsed on 5 February 2016.
The container is still be retrieved.
