BUSHBUCKRIDGE – The Department of Health has suspended a cleaner at the Oakley Clinic with immediate effect.
This is following allegations of assault after a video circulated on social media in 2021 where an altercation broke out between the cleaner and patient.

According to a statement from the department, the patient vaccinated for Covid-19 when the incident occurred. It is further alleged that the cleaner then assaulted the patient.
MEC Sasekani Manzini said the department does not condone such behaviour, hence the cleaner’s suspension.

“Investigations are ongoing and we are hoping to get all the details of what transpired on the day. We will take further action when we conclude investigations,” she said.
