A 31-year-old female medical doctor was arrested for alleged medicine theft.
This is after her vehicle was searched by security personnel at a hospital last Friday and medication and equipment worth R50 000 at were found in the boot.

Captain Magonseni Nkosi said when she could not explain why she had a variety of medicines in her car, the police were called. “The doctor spent the weekend behind bars after she found herself on the wrong side of the law while departing from a government hospital at around 16:45.”

She is expected to appear in the Middleburg Magistrate’s Court today.
