Mkhondo murder case postponed to February

A case against the three men who allegedly killed the Ward Councillor, Sbonelo Mthembu-Ntshangase and two other victims, Sizwe Mbingo and Sandile Khumalo, has been postponed to February 6, 2023 for bail application.

According to the National Prosecution Authority, the trio made their second court appearance yesterday for legal representation. Blessing Nhlakanipho Ntombela (30) Bongani Dlamini (38) and Andile Gamede (32) are facing three counts of murder, one count of attempted murder and theft of a firearm.

This relates to the shooting incident which occurred at Longhomes Township in Mkhondo early this month. Gamede abandoned his bail application last week because of the seriousness of the charges against the accused, the NPA will oppose bail.
